• Used routinely in human medicine, endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows direct visualization of internal organs including, but not limited to, the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach and intestines) and respiratory system (nasal passage, trachea and bronchi).
  • A high definition camera attached to a long, thin tube is inserted into the patient’s body which allows for detailed examination and the ability  to obtain tissue samples (biopsies) as needed.
  • Endoscopy aids in the diagnosis of many diseases that historically have required full abdominal surgery. Recovery time following an endoscopic procedure is typically less than 12-24 hours, whereas abdominal surgery requires a minimum of 10-14 days for recovery.
  • We are pleased to offer this cutting edge technology to our patients as it allows our team to continue providing the best care.
