Dr. Jennifer Kartley began working in the practice as part of the client service team in August of 1999. She came to the area to pursue her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Humanities with a minor in Biology at Hiram College, finishing in 2003.  After completing veterinary school at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 2007, she returned to the practice as a full time associate veterinarian. Dr. Kartley avidly pursues continuing education to obtain the cutting edge information necessary to give clients and their pets the best care available. Her passion for education does not end there, Dr. Kartley also mentors many students interested in the veterinary profession. Not only does she allow highly motivated students to shadow her in the clinic, but she also helps guide them through the arduous application process to enter veterinary college.  Dr. Kartley has mentored multiple of our Veterinarians currently in the practice including Dr. Zalewski, Dr. Matlock, and Dr. Abbey White. She once wanted to work in law enforcement so she now works closely with many of the K9 officers in the surrounding area to protect the dogs that protect our community.

Dr. Kartley is originally from Mansfield attending St. Peter's Schools until graduation.  She now resides in rural Geauga County with her husband, two kids, and many four legged family members.  Brutus and Buckeye have joined her in her picture above.  Her family is active in the Geauga County 4H program showing a multitude of animals at the fair each Labor Day weekend.

Dr. Kartley is currently affiliated with the OVMA, AVMA and is Fear Free Certified.
